Clos Galena celebrates its 25 years of winemaking history in the Priorat

Clos Galena, also known as Domini de la Cartoixa, celebrates its 25th anniversary since its founding in 1999 by Miguel Pérez and Merche Dalmau in El Molar, Priorat. The winery started with 11 hectares of its own vineyard and has since expanded to nearly 30 hectares. From the beginning, they committed to organic farming, certified by the Consell Català de Producció Agrària Ecològica (CCPAE), managing the vineyards without systemic fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers.

In 2002, they launched their first red wines, Galena and Clos Galena, with the latter becoming their flagship wine. The winery has worked to maintain and restore century-old vineyards, demonstrating a commitment to preserving the land and supporting the local community.
