Clos Galena commemorates 25 years of a continuous dream in Priorat.

Clos Galena, a winery located in El Molar, in the Priorat region, has celebrated its 25th anniversary. Founded in 1999 by Merche Dalmau and her husband Miguel Pérez, the winery was established with the goal of producing high-quality organic wines. After Miguel’s passing eleven years ago, Merche took over the management of the winery, supported by a dedicated team, including winemaker Toni Coca and viticulture manager Enric Amorós.

Currently, Clos Galena produces 155,000 bottles annually, distributed among the Priorat (95,000 bottles), Terra Alta (50,000), and Montsant (10,000) denominations. The winery exports 70% of its production to countries such as Switzerland, Germany, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. One of its most significant milestones came in 2017, when its Formiga de Vellut wine was served at the Nobel Prize banquet, becoming the first Catalan wine to receive such recognition.

To commemorate its 25th anniversary, the winery has launched a special limited edition wine: Clos Galena 25 Anys d'un Somni. A total of 1,398 bottles have been produced, featuring a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine stands out for its freshness and elegance, with a fruit-forward profile and great aging potential.
