Clos Galena - 25 Anys d'un somni

Wine made with grapes from five of our fourteen plots, all organically grown and located in El Molar, a warm area with unique Licorella soils that give the wine mineral sensations, as well as complex and concentrated aromas. Here, annual rainfall ranges between 350 and 400 liters, which contributes to giving our wines their special character. We choose the plots based on the type of soil and how each vine adapts to its environment.

Our Carignan vines are around 80 years old, our Grenache vines are between 45 and 60 years old and our Syrah vines are a little younger, around 30 years old. Each vine produces only 0.5 kg of grapes, which makes our production very special. We harvest the grapes by hand, selecting only the best ones, to transport them in 15 kg boxes to our winery to maintain all their quality.

We carry out a careful manual selection of the grapes upon arrival at the winery. Each grape variety is fermented and macerated separately in stainless steel tanks, which allows us to highlight the unique characteristics of each one. After fermentation, we gently press the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation. Finally, we carry out the blending, where we combine the different varieties before the wine enters French oak barrels for ageing.
